Rajinikanth-Amitabh Bachchan to reunite after 37 years; 'Thalaivar 170' schedule to begin in Mumbai tomorrow

Rajinikanth has teamed up with director TJ Gnanavel for his upcoming film, temporarily titled 'Thalaivar 170'. After wrapping up a schedule in Tirunelveli, Rajinikanth took a brief break and is scheduled to resume work tomorrow. The next leg of filming for 'Thalaivar 170' is reportedly beginning tomorrow in Mumbai, and it's expected to be a short schedule. Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a crucial role in the movie, will also be joining the team in Mumbai.
This collaboration marks the reunion of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan after 37 years, creating anticipation for a viral picture of the two legendary Indian actors from the sets of 'Thalaivar 170'. The Mumbai schedule is also set to be a brief one, with Rajinikanth planning to head to Mumbai tonight.
In 'Thalaivar 170', Rajinikanth is said to portray the role of a cop in a film directed by TJ Gnanavel, inspired by a real-life incident. The movie is expected to deliver a strong social message, focusing on the issue of fake encounters. Alongside Rajinikanth, the film features Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and Rakshan, among others. The music for the film is handled by Anirudh Ravichander.

While appreciating good films, Rajinikanth recently watched Vijay's 'Leo' in a special screening and personally congratulated the producer over the phone. It's noteworthy that the director of 'Leo,' Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to helm a film starring Rajinikanth as the lead, with the shooting for 'Thalaivar 171' scheduled to begin after 'Thalaivar 170'.
