Rajinikanth is en route to the pilgrimage to Kedarnath and Badrinath. The 73-year-old superstar arrived in Dehradun, Uttarakhand airport today, Wednesday, May 29. The veteran actor, known for his spiritual inclinations, plans to offer prayers at these sacred shrines. The shrines, located in the scenic and serene surroundings of the Uttarakhand state, are expected to offer the tranquility and spiritual rejuvenation he seeks.
Talking to ANI, Rajinikanth confirmed that he is visiting Kedarnath and Badrinath, "I am going to Badrinath and Kedarnath.” The veteran was spotted decked up in a casual t-shirt and bottom wear, with his glasses on, when he landed in Dehradun airport.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth recently wrapped up his portions for his upcoming film ‘Vettaiyan’. Written and directed by T. J. Gnanavel, ‘Vettaiyan’ is expected to be an action drama film. A picture of the actor during the wrap had earlier gone viral on the internet. Rajinikanth was seen sporting ruffled hair and beard in the picture, and it is said to be the actor’s look from the film. The team presented a bouquet of flowers and also shared the picture on social media and said, “And it is a wrap for our Thalaivar! Superstar @rajinikanth completes filming his portion for Vettaiyan.” The upcoming film also has an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, and Rohini playing some of the crucial roles in the film.
