Amit Ravindrenath Sharma’s film dealt with the life of a middle-aged couple who get pregnant, and how their family, especially their sons, handle it. The 2018 release went on to bag two National Awards - Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Supporting Actress (Surekha Sikri).
While RJ Balaji has stepped into the shoes of Ayushmann, Aparna Balamurali plays his love interest in the film. Sathyaraj and Urvashi play the middle-aged couple, while the late KPAC Lalitha will be seen as Sathyaraj’s mother. Karthik Muthukumar is handling the cinematography, while editing is by Selva RK.
The trailer of the film was launched on May 27, and the makers subsequently released the songs – composed by Girishh Gopalakrishnan - as well by hosting a grand audio launch function at Lady Andal auditorium in Chennai early this month. The team has also been involved in innovatively promoting the film, like putting up a seemandham setup at different theatres.
