RK Suresh who made his Kollywood debut in director Bala’s 'Tharai Thappattai', has requested the Theatre Association to provide 60 percents of their screens in the state to Tamil films and the remaining 40 percent to other language films. He has made this request stating the this would help the small budget films and the producers.
Taking to social media, RK Suresh posted a video in which he says, "I would like to say that I am not making this request because of film 'Visithiran'. It is a general grievance that we all have. We at the Producer Council will soon make a decision that 60 percent Tamil film will only be released in theatres and 40 percent other languages can be released."
"In Tamil cinema, there are only two categories of cinema, namely small and big films. The big films will usually get theatres for release, but small films don't. So I would like to request that this practice come into effect soon."
