Sai Pallavi will be next seen in the upcoming action-war film '
Amaran' which is set to release soon on the big screens on October 31, 2024. Directed by
Rajkumar Periasamy she will be seen alongside
Sivakarthikeyan, who portrays the role of martyred Major Mukund Varadarajan while Sai Pallavi plays his wife, Indhu Rebecca.
As per a News18 report, she has reportedly charged an impressive Rs 3 crore for her performance. However, neither the filmmakers nor Sai Pallavi herself have confirmed this figure. Additionally, there are claims that the film is being produced on a large-scale budget of Rs 150-200 crore, but again, this has not been officially verified.
The film features a talented supporting cast that includes Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora, Shreekumar, and Rohman Shawl.
Sai Pallavi initially had reservations about taking on a role in a male-centric biopic. She was concerned that her character might be overshadowed by the male lead, played by Sivakarthikeyan. To address this, she made it clear to director Rajkumar Periyasamy that she wanted assurance of equal screen presence.
'Amaran' is based on Major Mukund Varadarajan's heroic actions during the Qazipathri Operation in 2014, where he was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra.
Alongside 'Amaran' there are major releases coinciding with the Diwali festival tomorrow. Dulquer Salmaan's 'Lucky Bhaskar' and Kannada action thriller movie 'Bagheera' are also releasing on the same day.
