Sasi plays a suspended policeman in this thriller

After starring in a series of rural subjects, Sasikumar will be seen next in an investigative thriller. This yet-to-be-titled project will be helmed by Malayalam director GN Krishnakumar of College Days fame. Guru Somasundaram will also be seen in an important role, while Manasa Radhakrishnan will play the female lead.
Giving us details about the project, Krishnakumar says, “When I wrote this script, I felt that this could be done only in Tamil.I didn’t write keeping Sasikumar in mind, but somehow, once I finished writing the script, I felt that he would be apt to play the role of a suspended police officer. When I approached him with the script, he really liked it and agreed to come on board. After seeing him in rural films, this one will be a new territory for him. We also have Guru Somasundaram playing a pivotal role in the film. Malayalam actress Manasa will play the female lead. However, she is not paired opposite Sasikumar. She will have a separate track in the film.”
The film will be shot in locales like Munnar, Madurai, Theni and Chennai. “We have finished almost 50% of the shoot, in Munnar. Our next stop will be Madurai,” says the director.
So, did he find it challenging to shoot in Tamil? “Not really. I was very comfortable shooting the film in Tamil. Everyone was really helpful, too,” he signs off.
