Arvind Swami has moved the
Madras High Court to recover his balance remuneration from the producer of ‘Sathuranga Vettai 2’. The actor has asked the court to direct noted actor-producer
Manobala to pay him the remaining balance of Rs 1.79 crore with an interest rate of 18 percent from the date of filing the suit till the date of realisation.
In the petition, Arvind Swami stated that his intention is not to stall the release of the film, but to recover his unpaid dues.
On the other hand, Manobala, in an interview, went on the record saying that Arvind Swami was misguided by someone and was forced to approach the court to settle the dispute. Manobala also stated that he wouldn’t release ‘Sathuranga Vettai 2’ without settling the remaining balance amount.
A sequel to the heist thriller of the same name, ‘Sathuranga Vettai 2’ has an ensemble cast including Arvind Swami, Trisha Krishnan,
Prakash Raj,
Daniel Balaji and
Nassar in important roles. Written by director H Vinoth, ‘Sathuranga Vettai 2’ follows a similar storyline like the first part. The film is directed by NV Nirmal Kumar and is expected to release later this year.
