The fast-spreading
Coronavirus has been affecting India since the past few days. It is to be noted that more than one hundred people in India are infected with the Coronavirus and two have died after being affected by it. As a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus, the Central Government has taken various measures which mainly including shutting all public places and curbing public gatherings.
Now, the latest report is that the shootings of
Rajinikanth,
Ajith and Simbu films too have been affected in the wake of the virus.
It has been reported that until March 31, there will be no shootings taking place at
Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. Following this, the shooting of Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe', Ajith's 'Valimai' and Simbu's 'Maanadu' which were underway at the film city, have been postponed to a later date. Also, the release dates of the movies are expected to be postponed due to the delay in the shootings. Meanwhile, many theaters are reported to be closed soon due to the effect of Coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Distributor Association had earlier announced that they would be stopping the distribution of films from March 27 to protest against the 10% TDS that was being imposed by the Central Government on distributing films. However, now almost the entire nation has shut down to fight against the Coronavirus.
