SICA takes legal action against former heads
SICAs, (The Southern India Cinematographers Association) current office bearers have filed a complaint to the Commissioner of Police, Chennai recently, alleging that the former members whod headed the body, had indulged in fraudulent activities. The new members assert that there is a mismatch in the `375 crore spent by the members for a star night, held in Malaysia in 2015.

The association elected new members earlier this year PC Sreeram as president, B Kannan as the general secretary and Ramnath Shetty as the treasurer.
B Kannan says that the new members had to resort to legal measures as the former ones werent responding properly to their queries. He explains, The tenure of the former SICA members was from 2008 to 2015. The amount being spent during this time was being monitored by the auditor. It came to our notice that among the `375 crore spent by the members with regard to a show held last year, there was no proper record for around `40 lakh. We sent a show cause notice to them and gave them two weeks time to respond. As there wasnt any response from their side, we decided to take the legal route. The Commissioner assured that they will initiate required action in a couple of days. NK Viswanathan, G Shiva and KS Selvaraj were the former president, secretary and treasurer of SICA, respectively.
