Last year, around the same time,Silambarasan TR aka

was in the imelight for the wrong reasons. His

political thriller

, bankrolled by producer Suresh Kamatchi, was in limbo and the producer announced that he was dropping the movie. Some other producers’ too alleged non-coperation from Simbu and the matter went up to the Producer's Council. Howevver, Simbu's mother Usha Rajendran met some of the producers and assured that Simbu would fulfill the commitments. That time, the actor took 40 days vratham and went to Sabarimala. Later, the actor wanted to focus on his physical transformation, and reduced 30kg before he visited the shooting set. His physical transformation came as a surprise to many and in record time he completed

's direction. Soon, he got busy with the revived project Maanadu under Venkat Prabhu's direction.Currently, the movie's shooting is going on in Yercaud sans Simbu as the actor has gone on a pilgrimage to Sabarimala. His irumudi pictures aregoing viral on social media.
