Soori starrer 'Garudan' locks a release date in May

Soori, the leading Tamil comedian is now transformed into a notable hero, and he last played the lead role in Vetri Maaran's directorial 'Viduthalai 1'. Soori, who was expected to see again on big screens in 'Viduthalai 2', is set to have a theatrical release ahead of the highly anticipated sequel, and he will be next seen on big screens in 'Garudan'. The makers of 'Garudan' have announced the film's release plan, and the film is gearing up to release in theatres this May. 'Garudan' makers have unveiled a new poster featuring Soori to announce the May 2024 release, and the promising actor looks intense in the latest poster.


Directed by Durai Senthilkumar, 'Garudan' features Soori in the lead role with Sasikumar and Unnimukundan in crucial roles. Vetri Maaran has written the story and dialogues for 'Garudan', and the addition of the most successful director adds power to the film. Revathy Sharmna, Shivada, Roshini, Samuthirakani, Mime Gopi, and Dushyanth in supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music, while the cinematography and editing are handled respectively by Arthur Wilson and Pradeep Ragav.

Apart from 'Garudan' and 'Viduthalai 2', Soori is also playing the main role alongside Nivin Pauly and Anjali in Ram's directorial 'Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Mazhai', and the film received positive reviews from the premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
