Soundarya on debut production

Her debut production, the Venkat directorial Goa, is shaping up well and is on course for a December release. On the other hand, there���������������������������s Sultan, her animated baby, that she���������������������������s slogging for whenever there���������������������������s time.���������������������������This team is so energetic,��������������������������� she starts off, excitedly, ���������������������������The trailer has hit screens and I���������������������������m looking forward to getting feedback on it.���������������������������
The Soundarya-Venkat association goes back quite a long way, ever since she saw Chennai 28. ���������������������������Venkat had done some graphic work in my studio for the film and it was then that I decided that he should be the director of my first film,��������������������������� she reveals, ���������������������������In fact, we finalised Goa about ten days before Sa-ro-ja, his second film, released.���������������������������
The first thing that attracted Soundarya to the film was its title. ���������������������������It sounded like so much fun,��������������������������� she says, ���������������������������People worldwide know Goa as a popular tourist destination, and the very mention of this place conjures up images of fun, entertainment and partying. I loved the title and Venkat immediately narrated the gist of the story to me, which I thought would certainly work with the audience.���������������������������
Contrary to popular belief, Goa is in fact, a love story. ���������������������������Yes, it is,��������������������������� she stresses, ���������������������������Both Venkat���������������������������s films have majorly dealt with guys. This will be his first film that���������������������������ll have an ensemble cast.��������������������������� But, there���������������������������s buzz that it might be a local version of The Hangover, the superhit Hollywood film. Is that true? ���������������������������Not at all,��������������������������� she says, ���������������������������Goa is a love story told in typical Venkat style. I���������������������������d describe it as a romantic comedy.���������������������������
And when they started to shoot, it didn���������������������������t feel like serious business at all. ���������������������������In fact, there were several times when I thought that these bunch of guys would never be serious,��������������������������� she states, ���������������������������While shooting, one of the guys would suddenly grab the director���������������������������s mike and shout out something funny! It was major fun, but at the same time, work would get done.���������������������������
Meanwhile, on the Sultan front, Soundarya has already managed to get six numbers from Oscar winner AR Rahman. ���������������������������The title track will be in English and performed by an international artiste,��������������������������� she reveals, ���������������������������However, there���������������������������ll also be a typical Rajni intro song and that has been sung by SPB uncle.���������������������������
