Its been a hectic week for Srikanth. Shooting continuously for none other than Shankars Nanban, the Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster 3 Idiots, in different parts of the city with Vijay and Jiiva, and living up to the directors expectations is not an easy job. But the actor says getting a nod of approval from Shankar and seeing the way the film has shaped up till now more than make up for the demanding work. Were currently shooting a few college sequences in the city in Victoria hostel. Our art director has changed the face of this place he has erected huge statues and painted the entire campus. We have even grown a garden for a song sequence. Im excited about this film because work is progressing smoothly and theres a satisfaction of doing quality work, says Srikanth excitedly, as he sips black coffee from his TOI Collectable mug, thats part of the funky range of merchandise brought out recently by the
Times Group in association with Archies.
Do you know what keeps me, or rather, most actors, going? A tall mug of rich coffee! We shoot at odd hours; sometimes, continuously for days together. And nothing to keep us awake than a good mug of coffee, he smiles.
Srikanth quickly gets back on track and says, My portion gets over by August 15 and Im simultaneously dubbing for my character as well. Shankar is looking to release the film during Deepavali. After this, I will resume work on Ramkumars Ethiri En 3. Its a crime thriller in which I play a techie. Ram was inspired by a real life incident and has weaved a story around it.
While Srikanth is busy with his shooting schedule, he takes time out to relax with his TOI Collectables that include a range of products from mugs and clocks to cool tees. The TOI Collectables are available in the city at Archies Gallery stores and at www.archiesonline.com
