Taj Noor turns Rajinikanth’s Ulle Po into a song

Several musicians in Kollywood have come up with songs during the COVID-19 lockdown, either on ways to live through the pandemic or fun-filled ones on life in general. Joining the list is Taj Noor, who has composed Ulle Po. Interestingly, this phrase is taken from Superstar Rajnikanth’s popular dialogue from Baasha.
Taj Noor, who has composed music for films like Vamsam, Eththan and Strawberry, says, “I decided to compose a song that could create awareness about coronavirus among people.I wanted the starting lines to be something that our audiences are familiar with, and something that would energise people who are morally down. That’s why I chose Rajini sir’s punch line, Ulle Po.”
He adds, “So, I wrote the first three lines of the song and then approached poet Iniyan to help me complete the number. Velmurugan, Shivani and Deepak have sung the song. While Kamalakannan has edited the song, IPS Kavitha Ramu has performed for the number.”
