Vairamuthu in a brand new avatar!

Ace lyricist Vairamuthu is all set to turn dialogue writer! Well, the acclaimed lyricist���s popular novel, Thaneer Desam, is being made into a film and the makers have roped him to take charge of dialogues and screenplay.
Vairamuthu confirms, ���Yes, I���m happy that I���m part of this project. I���ve started working on the screenplay, which will be developed based on the series I wrote for a magazine that was later made into a novel.Writing for a film is very different from writing the novel, so I���m working on that front right now.��� The novel, which revolves around life on sea, has had eighteen editions.
Elaborating on the project, Vairamuthu says, ���It will be directed by Shivan. While newcomers will play the lead roles, the accompanying artists will be popular faces. We plan to start shoot early next year. The subject is about love and struggle and we���re sure it will make a big mark on screen as well.��� So, now that he���s ventured into other areas of filmmaking, can we see him as a filmmaker soon as well? ���Well, that���s a very difficult job,��� he smiles.
