Actor Vasanth Ravi made his debut in Tamil last year with 'Taramani' and is now working on a new project which has been reportedly titled 'Rocky'. The film is touted to be a gangster drama which deals with emotions based on relationships apart from being high on actions.
Directed by Ram, 'Taramani' was a massive hit at the box-office and was critically acclaimed as it portrayed the lives of people who worked in the IT field and people around them.
After a good film like 'Taramani', Vasanth Ravi has teamed up with director Arun Matheswaran for 'Rocky'.
When asked about the interesting title, the actor said that it has nothing to do with the cult classic of
Sylvester Stallone's 'Rocky'. The film was titled after the character being played by Vasanth Ravi.
The film stars Raveena Ravi of 'Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu' fame playing the female lead alongside Vasanth Ravi and veteran actor Rohini. Music is composed by Darbuka Siva and the man behind the lens is Shreyaas Krishna.
Already fifty per cent of the shooting has been completed and has been extensively shot in Chennai. The next schedule of the film will be shot in Rameshwaram and Dhanushkodi.
