Vidaarth's 25th film is a thriller based on dreams

Vidaarth to work in a thriller with Dhanya Balakrishnan
After being part of a slew of films in varied genres and characters, Vidaarth's 25th film will be a thriller. This yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by Srinivasan (of Annadurai fame), and will have

Dhanya Balakrishnan

as the female lead. Srinivasan says, "This one will be a

thriller

based on dreams.

Vidaarth

plays an electrician, who aspires to get into the police force. His father, played by Marimuthu, is a lorry driver and he has a strained

relationship

with him. Vidaarth has a strange gift from his childhood of having

dreams

of bizarre incidents that soon occur in reality. But those dreams will turn into a nightmare. What those dreams are and how he comes out of it forms the crux."

Srinivasan says that WhatsApp, a dustbin, and a lorry's presence add important elements to the film. "Apart from being a thriller, the film also delves into the strained relationship of the father and son. In fact, there is a connection between dreams and his relationship with his father as well. So in that sense, it will be an emotional film as well," says the director and adds, "The film will be spread across six days and seven nights. We've shot most of the film in and around Chennai. One of the highlights is that the film will have limited dialogues; it is more performance driven. We're roping in an established music director to do the re-recording."

Ask him what made him choose Vidaarth for the film and he says, "He is a fine actor, who is known for picking different scripts. The character requires performance and he fits the bill. I am a huge fan of his acting, too, he says. Vikram Jagadeesh, Pawlin Jesica, Munar Ramesh and Nithish are also part of the film.
