Vijay and his wife Monika blessed with a baby boy

Television host, lyricist, playback singer and former radio jockey Vijay aka Mirchi Vijay and his wife Monika Thangaraj have been blessed with a baby boy. The witty anchor took to his social media to announce the news.
He posted a series of pictures on social and captioned it saying, "Swipe left for one kutty story." He then posted picture of the couple, maternity photoshoot, which was then followed by 'Our family has grown by two feet.. it's a baby boy!!'. Vijay had then announced the baby's name as Navilan. He said, "Oru kutty vandhadhu dhan sar story ey #Navilan s/o @monikathangaraj."

Many people from the fraternity wished him, including Kavin, Nakshathra Nagesh, Kiki Vijay, actor Nakkhul to name a few. Vijay and Monika got hitched in 2018. Vijay has penned some hit songs, and sung some, too. In an earlier interview with us, Vijay had told us that he wants to become a comedian. "I love acting and want to explore that craft, too. I want to become a comedian... someone more like Santhanam. He is vera level. I did get some offers. In fact, there were a few in which I was offered to play the lead character (smiles). I am not positioning myself to play the lead part or anything. I want to be able to play roles like what Santhanam did. For instance, a film like Endrendrum Punnagai or SMS had all the three characters travel throughout the film," he said.
