The 67th National Film Award winners were announced today, where the South film industry won big.
Vijay Sethupathi, who won the award for Best Supporting actor for his role in Thiagarajan Kumararaja film 'Super Deluxe', tweeted a word of thanks today.
"Thank you Director #ThiagarajanKumararaja & each and everyone #SuperDeluxe #Shilpa," he tweeted. The multi-faceted actor plays Shilpa, a trans woman in the acclaimed film, which also co-stars Samantha Akkineni, Gaythrie, Fahadh Faasil, and Ramya Krishnan, among other seasoned actors.
Other Tamil winners from the ceremony include Dhanush, who shared the Best Actor award for 'Asuran', along with Manoj Bajpayee, Imman, who won an award for his work in Ajith-starrer 'Viswasam', and Parthipien and Resul Pookutty, who won awards for their work in 'Oththa Seruppu Size 7'. This apart, Vetri Maaran's 'Asuran' was also awarded the best Tamil film.
