Vijay Sethupathi upset about his film releasing on OTT platform?

Vijay Sethupathi’s next film Ka Pae Ranasingam will be releasing on OTT platform on October 2. Following Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, the makers of Vijay Sethupathis’ Ka Pae Ranasingam announced that the film will release on OTT platform. Jyotika’s Ponmagal Vandhal was the first Tamil film to release on OTT platform after theatres were shut due to the pandemic. A lot of films followed after this, putting huge pressure on theatre owners and distributors.The latest is that Vijay Sethupathi is not happy about Ka Pae Ranasingam releasing on OTT platform.
A few reports say Vijay Sethupathi’s other films Maamanithan, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Tughlaq Durbar may release on OTT platform. It looks like Vijay Sethupathi is not happy with his films releasing on OTT platform and is worried about the response of theatre owners to his films releasing on OTT platform. Many actors are in a dilemma in deciding their future films’ release. The theatre owners are unhappy with many films releasing on OTT platforms hitting their revenue.
On the work front Vijay Sethupathi is currently shooting for a film with Taapsee and Radika Sarathkumar in Jaipur. The film is directed by Deepak Sundarrajan. Vijay Sethupathi is also part of Vijay’s Master. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has Malavika Mohanan, Andrea, Shanthnu, Arjun Das, Gorwi Kishan, Mahendran playing important roles. Anirudh has composed music for the film.
