Vijay to play the role of a father in 'Thalapathy 66'?

Actor Vijay’s next film tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 66’ has completed the first schedule shooting in Hyderabad on May 26.
The new buzz is that Vijay is reportedly said to be playing the role of a father in the movie after two child artists Advaith Vinod and Harshitha Karthik share their experience of working with Vijay and Vamshi Paidipally for ‘Thalapathy 66’. Taking to Instagram, both the child stars announced that they are eagerly waiting for the second schedule of the film shooting.Advaith Vinod played the role of Keerthy Suresh’s son in the film ‘Penguin’ and Harshitha Karthik played a minor role in Vijay’s ‘Beast’.
Advaith Vinod wrote, “It’s a great honour to work with wonderful director @directorvamshi uncle and being a part of #Thalapathy66. Schedule 1 wrapped up, eagerly waiting for next schedule.” Likewise, Harshitha Karthik captioned that, “Its great honour to work with u uncle @directorvamshi. Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity uncle. It was the best experience I’ve ever had (sic).”
Earlier, the team was shooting in Chennai for 25 days, after that the shooting continued in Hyderabad. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film is touted to be a family drama and it is reportedly Vijay will be playing a dual role in the film. The movie is announced to be released in theatres as a grand Pongal 2023 release.
Actress Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in the movie. Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha Krish, and Samyuktha Shanmuganathan are part of the cast.
