Vikram Prabhu's 'Vaanam Kottatum' to begin in July

We had earlier reported that Vikram Prabhu will be doing a film for Mani Ratnam’s banner, which will be directed by Dhana (of Padaiveeran fame). Now, the latest on that is the film, titled Vaanam Kottatum, will go on floors in Chennai from July 15. Interestingly, Mani Ratnam has penned the story and dialogues along with Dhana, who has assisted the ace director in several films, and was part of his promotional team for Kaatru Veliyidai as well. Dhana debuted as a filmmaker with Padaiveeran featuring Vijay Yesudas and Bharathiraaja in the lead. While Madonna Sebastian has been roped in as Vikram Prabhu’s pair, Aishwarya Rajesh will play his sister. And after 20-odd years, Radikaa and Sarath Kumar will play a couple on screen and they will play Vikram Prabhu's parents. While Govind Vasantha will compose the music, Preetha has come on board as the cinematographer.
