Vishnu Vishal urges actors to cut salaries as it helps producers with quality filmmaking; 'I view cinema as a responsible actor'

Vishnu Vishal recently sparked a new debate in the film industry by sharing his opinion that “actors should reduce their salaries.” His film Aryan, directed by Praveen, which he produced and starred in, was recently released. To mark this, he had organized a Thanksgiving ceremony for the journalists.Speaking at the event, when asked, "Which do you intervene in more as an actor or a producer in a film?" Vishnu Vishal said, "No film has been successful in which I have not intervened. I view cinema as a responsible actor. The success of a film is not only linked to the director's efforts but also to the actor's responsibility. The audience comes to the theater to see the actor, so I suggest the necessary changes in the story. That's what has made many of my films successful," he said.At the same event, when asked, “What advice would you give to new producers?” he said, “I don't think I should give advice to anyone. But I can give a suggestion to the actors to take a little less salary. Only then can the producers spend according to the needs of the story. Otherwise, most films get into financial trouble," he said.Vishnu Vishal's comment has sparked a huge debate among film fans.
