Why the news of the Hindi remake of 'Paraiyerum Perumal' irk fans?

Directed by Mari Selvaraj, 'Paraiyerum Perumal' is one of the blockbusters of Tamil cinema. The movie was released in 2018 and it starred Kathir and Kayal Anandhi in lead roles. The movie focussed on the caste oppression and it marked the directorial debut of Mari Selvaraj. The music for the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
News reports now suggest that Karan Johar is in plans to remake the film in Hindi.The movie is said to cast Siddharth Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in lead roles and is said to be titled 'Dhadak 2'. However, the title of the film has not been decided yet. The news that Karan Johar is going to remake the film in Hindi has disappointed the movie fans. According to reports, Karan Johar is said to direct the film in Hindi and he has planned to sugarcoat the film and keep it simple and not as strong as the Tamil version.
