Sivaji the boss (Now Playing)

The tickets have already been booked for the forthcoming weeks, read to know why this film is making people in the South hysterical
Sivaji the boss (Now Playing)
"Sankar is a director who pains at the plight of his homeland"- Rajnikanth
Sivaji is a tribute by a hero of millions, to the director who gave him a major mile stone. In films like ‘Gentleman’, ‘Indian’, ‘Muthalvan’, ‘Anyyan’ and now in ‘Sivaji’, we see that mind all too evidently. When the reaction of this mind combines with the mesmerism of Rajni, a ‘Sivaji’ will happen.
1x1 polls

This is the story of a man who comes back from the unlimited career vistas of America in order to do something worth while for his homeland. His main ambition was to provide good education without the burden of enormous donations and better medical facilities. He wishes to materialize Sivaji Medical College and Sivaji University as the foundation of his aim. But all this optimism is soon hindered by the prevailing corruption and red tape knots. The various tactics which Sivaji uses to fight against the commercialization of basic essentials like health and education in the society gives this cinema its beauty; also a love story blossoms making it all the more fragrant.
Technical perfection of all Sankar films can also be seen in Sivaji. Fight scenes and lavishly made song sequences will therefore baffle the viewers.
The appearance of the star is specifically taken care of. Including his oldest hairstyles, Rajni makes several different appearances with almost 15 different hairstyles. All this will excite the die hard Rajni fans.
Famous Tamil actors like Shivaji Ganesh and MGR are reminded of by this central character. Sankar presents Rajnikanth as a mixture of both these famous actors in Sivaji. Various gimmicks give delight to the viewers. Sriya also makes alive the heroine through a celebration of body movements and agility. Nayan Thara, who comes in an item number, claims her place in the viewer’s heart too.

The comedy scenes of Rajnikanth and Vivek; Peter Hayne's fight scenes; Choreography by Prabhudev, Raju Sundaram, Vrinda and Lawrence; K V Anand's Camera; A R Rahman's Music; Anthony's editing and Thottadharan's art direction are the main plus points of this film.
Clear messages against corruption, commercialisation of education and black money brings out the social prominence of this film.
The main minus point of this film would be the lack of foundation of a strong story line. So Sivaji might not easily appease the family audience following the line of earlier Rajni films like ‘Chandramukhi’. Even then, Sivaji's initial collection is sure to bring ample profit, covering its enormous production cost.
