Playback singer Benny Dayal has earned a name for himself in the music industry over the years. The singer, who has sung a lot of songs for AR Rahman, is a big fan of the composer and loves doing cover versions of the composer’s songs. During the lockdown, the singer has been regularly making cover versions of songs and sharing them with his followers and well-wishers on social media.

Today, he shared the cover version of ‘Kuluvalile’ from Rajinikanth’s 1995 film ‘Muthu’. And its music is by AR Rahman.
Sharing a short teaser of the video on his social media page, the singer wrote. “#Kuluvaile by #@arrahman from the blockbuster film 'Muthu' starring Superstar @rajinikanth has been a childhood favourite for both me and Sam. Here's a new take on the legendary composition. This is for you all to enjoy! (sic).”The film ‘Muthu’ was directed by Shankar and had actress Meena playing the female lead opposite superstar Rajinikanth. What’s interesting is that the singer is also seen playing kazoo, an American musical instrument, apart from singing ‘Kuluvalile’ with his scintillating voice.

The singer had earlier shared a cover version of AR Rahman’s ‘Enna Kaanavillaiye’ from ‘Kadhal Desam’. He had done that cover version with his band Funktuation. Benny’s band Funktuation is very popular among Chnenaiites, especially youngsters as the band has performed at various big cultural events and college shows in the city. Last month, the singer and Funktuation came out with a new music video titled ‘Lockdown Town’. And the singer wrote that it was a funky disco jam, which got inspired from the classic sounds of 80s.
