Dhanush and GV Prakash's unplugged version of 'Vaathi' first single

While Dhanush's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film 'Vaathi', directed by Telugu director, Venky Atluri is gearing up to hit the screens on December 2, 2022, the makers are all set to release the first single from the film on November 10, 2022. The song penned by Dhanush himself has been sung by Shwetha Mohan in GV Prakash's music. Now, ahead of the song's release, GV Prakash and Dhanush have teased the audience with an unplugged version.
Interestingly, Dhanush has sung the song both in Tamil and Telugu in the unplugged version. An excited Samyuktha Menon, who is playing the female lead in the film also shared a experience of grooving to the song in the film.
Sharing the video of himself singing the song with GV Prakash on the keyboard, Dhanush posted, "Vaathi / Sir first single vaa vaathi( Tamil ) masteru ( telugu ) from 10 th. A @gvprakash musical and my favourite @_ShwetaMohan_ has sung it. Hope you guys like it" (sic)

Bankrolled by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya of Sithara Entertainments, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual has been titled 'Vaathi' in Tamil and 'Sir' in Telugu. The film is said to be a social drama that revolves around the education mafia and highlights one young man’s fight against the privatisation of education.
