Former Miss India finalist Tanya goes de-glam to play a medical student next
After scorching the screen with her cop act (as ACP Catherine) in Jagapathi Babu’s Patel S.I.R recently, Tanya Hope is going ‘completely de-glam’ in her next. The Miss India 2015 finalist will play a medical student in the upcoming romantic drama, Paper Boy directed by Jay Shankar. “My character is totally different from what I’ve played in my last couple of films. The native of Mangalore is paired opposite newcomer Santosh Sobhan in the film. “It’s a cute love story where I play Santosh’s love interest and Sripriya plays the other girl. I’m pretty thrilled about working with
cinematographer Soundararajan of Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger fame. We recently finished the first schedule of Paper Boy in Hyderabad and soon we’ll start filming the second schedule,” says the actress, who is foraying into Tamil and Kannada film industries as well. “Yes, I’m acting in a Tamil film featuring Arun Vijay and then I have a Kannada project starring Upendra. So far, things are looking good, touch wood,” she says, signing off.
