Bhagya Nagara Veedhullo Gammathu

Story: Srinu (Srinivasa Reddy), Jojo (Satya) and Peter (Shakalaka Shankar) are best friends and aspiring film makers. How do these three friends get trapped into drug mafia?

Review: Movies like Bhagya Nagara Veedhullo Gammathu are decade-old concepts in Tollywood. Comedian Srinivasa Reddy turns director with this film which fails from a weak script and boring narration. The film does not have a single sensible thing to talk about.

The three lead characters try to make films and Srinivasa tries to create some laughs by inducing a drug mafia plot into it. But each and every scene in the film tests your patience. The unnecessary characters don’t help matters either.

The whole episode of ‘Bathuku Edla Bandi’ with Jhansi is so cringe-worthy. Srinivasa tries too hard to generate laughs with cheap comedy which falls flat. The particular episode is misogynistic and insensitive to make matters worse. The language which Peter uses in the scene explain the low standards stopped to just to make the audience laugh. It’s surprising how even in this day and age such toxic scenes with filthy language and violence towards women is deemed okay.

Vennela Kishore plays a cop, but he doesn’t entertain you like he usually does. His role is illogical and doesn’t add to the film. The female lead played by Dollysha irritates with her acting. Srinivasa Reddy completely fails at connecting the dots. It’s ironic seeing as how he has always been known for his comic timing. Shakalaka Shankar and Satya don’t have great roles either. Most of the characters in the film come and go as they please, making the film an avoidable fare.
