Telugu film ‘Champion’ opened with a decent outing at the box office. Starring Roshan Meka and
Anaswara Rajan, the film made Rs 70 lakh on the sixth day as per the early estimates.
According to trade analyst Sacnilk, on the first day of its release, it made Rs 2.75 crore. Later, it dropped numbers as it collected Rs 1.5 lakh on Friday and also made Rs 1.75 crore on Saturday. Later, the collections further rose to Rs 1.7 crore. The collections then further saw a decline after weekdays came. On Monday, it made Rs 75 lakh and on Tuesday, it collected Rs 70 lakh. This brings the film’s total to 9.15 crore.

Additionally, ‘Champion’ had an overall 15.69% Telugu occupancy. The morning show had an occupancy of 13.81%, it then recorded 17.94% during the afternoon. Then it had a slight decline, with the evening occupancy being recorded at 16.08%. Lastly, the film completed its day at 14.91% during the night shows.

Pradeep Advaitham, the film tells the story of the character Michael B Williams, who is seen as a talented footballer and wants to play for Manchester in England. However, coming from Secundrabad, the journey is not an easy one. He finds himself entangled in arms smuggling and ends up in Bhairanpally village, resisting Razakar atrocities.
There he falls in for Chandrakala, played by Anaswara Rajan.
The movie also features Avantika Vandanapu and Edward Sonnenblick in key roles. The music of ‘Champion’ is composed by Mickey J Meyer.
