'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' box office collection day 5: Victory Venkatesh's film mints Rs 93.75 crore in India

Victory Venkatesh's latest film, 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam', has been performing exceptionally well at the box office since its release on January 14, 2025. As of January 19, the film has grossed approximately Rs 93.75 crore in just five days, with an estimated Rs 17.25 crore earned on Day 5 alone.

The movie opened strongly, collecting Rs 23 crore on its first day, followed by Rs 20 crore on the second day, and Rs 17.5 crore on the third day. Although there was a slight decline in earnings on Day 4 with Rs 16 crore, the film rebounded on Day 5, enjoying popularity among audiences.

The overall occupancy rate for the film was impressive, with a 65.96% occupancy reported on Saturday, indicating strong viewer interest. The Morning Shows occupancy was at 39.70%, Afternoon Shows at 67.22%, Evening Shows at 77.58% and the Night Shows were the most occupied at 79.35%.

Directed by Anil Ravipudi, 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' features Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads alongside Venkatesh. The film is a family entertainer that blends comedy and action and has become an entertaining watch during the Sankranti festive season.

The story revolves around Yadagiri Damodhar Raju, a retired police officer who enjoys a peaceful life until a tech entrepreneur is kidnapped upon returning to Telangana. The Chief Minister assigns a police officer, who is also Raju's ex-girlfriend, to lead the rescue mission.

The film has received positive reviews from the audiences contributing to its impressive box office performance. It has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide within just four days of its release, making it one of Venkatesh's highest-grossing films to date.
