Choosi Choodangaane, starring
Shiva Kandukuri and Varsha Bollama in the lead roles, is all set to hit screens on January 31.
Directed by Sesha Sindhu Rao, the film is produced by Raj Kandukuri under Dharmapatha Creations. Talking about the film, the producer says, “When the director initially narrated the story to me, she wanted to cast a fresh face and began looking for an actor who would suit the role.
She came to know soon that my son Shiva had taken an acting course. Sesha came up to said and said she felt he would be apt for the story. Apart from him, there are three other actors debuting in the film.”
Director Sesha describes the roles Shiva Kandukuri and Varsha Bollama play. “Shiva will be seen in five different looks in the film between ages 16 and 24,” she says, adding, “He was apt for the role due to his boy-next-door looks. Everyone will fall in love with Varsha after watching the film. She even learnt Telugu by the end of the shoot and dubbed for herself.”
Varsha Bollamma, famous for her role in 96, is making her debut with Choosi Choodangaane. Talking about it, she says, “I always wanted to work with a female director but after working with Sesha I realise there’s no such thing as gender when it comes to a director, because it’s the talent that matters. Working with Shiva was good because despite it being his debut, it never felt that way. He did all the required work before coming on sets.”
