Nagarjuna debuted as a child artist in the National award-winning film Sudigundalu

Sudigundalu is often referred to as one of the cult classics of the Telugu Film Industry. Directed by Adurthi Subba Rao, the film was produced by and also starred Akkineni Nageswara Rao in the lead.
This film which was watched and appreciated by people of all age groups also bagged the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu along with the Nandi Award for the Best Feature Film and Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu.Nageswara Rao’s son Nagarjuna also debuted as a child artist in this film.
The film which was written by BS Thapa was screened at the Tashkent Film Festival and the International Film Festival of India. The music for the film was composed by KV Mahadevan and it had Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, Ram Mohan and Sakshi Ranga Rao in lead roles.
