Ali is one of the top comedians in South India and he has more than 1000 films to his credit so far. He has also playing lead roles in several films and now, his 50th film as a hero is gearing up for release on February 21. Titled as 'Alibaba Okkade Donga', the film has been directed by Vamsi.
"The film is on the lines of April 1 Vidudala. It revolves around a young person, who comes to the city to become a police officer; however, he gets trapped in a robbery case.
The rest of the film is about how he proves his innocence," Ali said. His first film as a hero was Yamaleela, which released almost 20 years ago. Sharing an interesting incident about how he became a hero, Ali recalled, "Back then, SV Krishna Reddy and Acchi Reddy approached Krishna to narrate the story. They wanted
Mahesh Babu to play the lead role; however, when Krishna told them to wait for another three years, the duo convinced me to act in the film. That's how I became a hero."
Of late, he has been juggling between acting in films and hosting TV shows. "I've been donating all the money I earn from the TV shows to a charitable trust. I want to serve the society in my own way," he said.
