Director
Pavan Mallela is elated at the response his debut film Balakrishnudu, which released on Friday, has been receiving. “The response is pretty great, especially from smaller towns. To be honest, in the cities, the talk is that it is a one-time-watch. But that's okay. We expected this when we made the film. We knew the story will work in small towns because it's an old-school faction story.
The comedy in the film, especially Pruthvi’s episode is being thoroughly
enjoyed by them. It has worked out for us,” he says.
Pavan admits that some people might find the plot a bit routine, but he believed in the entertainment factor in the film. Terming his collaboration with Regina and Nara Rohith, a ‘beautiful experience’, Pavan says, “Regina is so glamorous in the film and
Nara Rohith has lost tons of weight and is looking great. In fact, this is his biggest opener yet!” he says.
Rounding off, he says, “I feel that people will enjoy this film immensely if they leave logic and story behind and just look for the entertainment factor.”
