Chalapathi Rao issues an apology for his lewd comments

Tollywood veteran actor Chalapathi Rao has been in the eye of a storm for the past two days ever since his derogatory comments on women. Now after facing severe flak from the public and celebrities, he has finally issued an apology.

Taking to Facebook, he made a live video where he apologized for his comments. He started out by saying that his words were taken in the wrong context and that he always respects women.However, he added that although he is sorry for hurting women’s sentiments and that his statement was not really wrong, but taken out of context.
Rao had landed in major trouble when at the audio launch function of ‘Rarandoi Vedukachudam’, he had commented that women are not dangerous but are useful in bed. Apparently, the statement has now landed him in legal trouble as well.
