The gorgeous Chandika Ravi, who featured in the mass number Maa Bava Manobhavalu, from
Gopichand Malineni’s Veera Simha Reddy opened up about working for the film.
The Australian actress debuted in India with the Tamil film Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu, which was remade in Telugu as Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu. She is also a model and singer of Indian origin who was roped in for the special number.
Recounting her experience, Chandrika said, “I grew up watching south Indian films, especially Balayya sir’s songs and movies. So, to not only be sharing screen with him today, but to be able to dance with him is the role of a lifetime. I remember walking onto the sets on the first day and thinking to myself ‘this is incredible’. The music, the songs, the choreography, the set design, the costuming, makeup, dances, everything was so beautifully done.”
Adding that she also got the chance to spend some time with him off-screen, she said, “I also got to share some time with Balayya sir away from the camera. And he shared so much wisdom and knowledge of his life and his career with me that I’m gonna cherish these memories for the rest of my life. Jai Balayya.”
Veera Simha Reddy is hitting screens on January 12 and also stars Shruti Haasan as the female lead.
