On the occasion of
Diwali, Telugu superstar
Chiranjeevi paid a visit to legendary director K Vishwanath and sought his blessings. Accompanied by his wife Surekha, the 65-year-old actor offered new clothes to the veteran filmmaker and his wife Jaya Lakshmi. Sharing the video on his social handle, Chiru wrote that Viswanath has always been his mentor, well-wisher and guide in the film industry and to spend some quality time with him on this day is truly an honour.
Recipient of five national awards and six state Nandi awards, Viswanath has directed Chiranjeevi in a handful of path-breaking films which include Subhalekha, Swayamkrushi and Aapadbandhavudu. Swayamkrushi was the first Telugu film to be dubbed into Russian and also hold a special screening at the popular Moscow International Film Festival.
On Friday, Chiranjeevi announced that he was tested COVID-19 negative by a group of doctors and revealed that his earlier test result, which declared him positive, was due to a faulty RT-PCR kit. “A group of doctors did three different tests and concluded that I am COVID-19 test negative and that the earlier result was due to a faulty RT-PCR kit,” the actor tweeted with a note in Telugu and an attachment of his test report.
Meanwhile, the shooting of ‘Acharya’ has resumed in Hyderabad from November 10th and director Koratala Siva has been canning the portions which do not require lead actor Chiranjeevi. However, with the latest results coming out negative, the senior hero is expected to join the sets soon.
Starring
Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady, Acharya is set against the backdrop of Dharmasthali and the first look poster showcased Chiranjeevi from the backside as he attacks a group of goons with a knife in his hand.
