Chiranjeevi Konidela's Telugu remake of Mohanlal starrer Lucifer launched with a pooja ceremony

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 153^rd project, the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Lucifer, was launched on Wednesday.
After names of numerous directors, including VV Vinayak and Sujeeth doing rounds, it is Mohan Raja who has taken up the charge for helming this project. The director, who’s known for the Tamil remake of Jayam and Telugu film Hanuman Junction, took to social media in December to confirm the same when he wrote, “With the blessings of my parents and well wishers, life has always gifted me better and bigger things.And this time I’m more elated n honored to direct a mega project with the Megastar @KChiruTweets himself. Need all your wishes n prayers. #Chiru153.” (sic)

Konidela Productions, Super Good Films and NVR films will jointly produce the film that will be presented by Surekha Konidela. Thaman S confirmed on the same day that he will compose music for the film when he wrote, “A biggest dream for Any Composer. It’s My Turn to Show My love towards Our #BOSS Shri #MEGASTAR @KChiruTweets gaaru & My dear brother @jayam_mohanraja. Here we begin our musical journey for #lucifer ( TEL ) !! Godbless.” (sic)

Allu Aravind, Ashwini Dutt, DVV Danayya, Niranjan Reddy, Nagababu, Koratala Siva, Tagore Madhu, Gemini Kiran, Writer Satyanand, Meher Ramesh, Bobby, Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, Miryala Ravinder Reddy, Naveen Yerneni, Sirish Reddy, UV Creations Vicky and others were present at the launch. While the producers spoke to the media and stated that changes have been made to the original script to suit the star, Mohan Raja reinstated that he feels fortunate to direct a film with Chiranjeevi in the lead.

While it has been announced that shooting will resume from February, the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced. Further details are awaited.
