Chidambaram aka Kallu Chidambaram, known for his supporting characters in several Telugu films, passed away in a Vizag hospital on Monday while undergoing treatment. He was 70 when he passed away. Having acted acted in films like Kallu, Ammoru, and Jambalakidipamba amongst 300 other films, he was recognised by his characteristic squint eye. He made his squint his greatest asset as he went on to play several comical characters and key roles.
For his debut film Kallu ��� which later became his moniker, he was awarded the Nandi Award by the Andhra Pradesh state government.
