Darbar Telugu trailer: Rajinikanth film promises to be a gritty cop drama

The makers of Darbar unveiled the film's trailer on Monday. Going by the video, the film is tipped to be a cop drama, which is high on action.
Superstar Rajinikanth is playing commissioner of police, Adtihya Arunachalam from Mumbai. In the trailer, he has performed some risky stunts as well. It is action-packed and opens with an action sequence, with Rajini's style being the highlight.The trailer has been well-received by movie buffs and fans because of the punch dialogue portions, which are a forte of Thalaiva.

Darbar marks Rajini's 167th film in his 40-year long and fruitful career. The film features Nayanthara as the female lead opposite Rajini. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has been roped in to play the baddie in this flick. Nivetha Thomas, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriman, Prateik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, Nawab Shah, Yogi Babu and Dalip Tahil are playing pivotal roles as well. The technical crew of this film includes Anirudh Ravichander for music and Santosh Sivan for cinematography. Darbar is bankrolled by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on January 10, 2020.
