First time director Dr Pradeep Allu is confident that his debut film, 'Darshini', will strike a chord with the audience. Billed as a ‘suspenseful sci-fi film with doses of comedy and horror,’ the film is set to hit the screens today, May 17. “The film’s fresh narrative will take the audience on a unique cinematic journey. The audience response for the trailer and the songs has been positive and we are hopeful that the film will get a similar reception in the theatres too,” he shares.
The film is a passion project for Dr Pradeep, a former professor, producer LV Suryam, actor GK Vikas, and other friends who collaborated to make Darshini. Giving a glimpse into the storyline, Dr Pradeep says, “The story revolves around three friends. Their lives take an unexpected turn when they discover a device that reveals glimpses of the future. But the truth behind the device is even more sur- prising: it’s a scientist’s experiment,” he says, adding, “Despite being a smallbudget film, we have poured our hearts into the project. I’m sure all the effort will reflect on the screen.”
