Deets Inside! Is Varun Tej turning into a cop for Sagar Chandra’s film?

Mega hero Varun Tej announced a film with ‘Appatlo Okadundevadu’ director Sagar Chandra in March 2018. Unfortunately, due to unknown reasons, the concerned project bankrolled by 14 Reels Entertainment failed to go on floors. After a long time, talks regarding this collaboration are back in the tinsel town and the latest grapevine suggests that the ‘Fidaa’ actor will reportedly essay the role of a powerful cop in this commercial entertainer.While there is no official confirmation on this news, speculations are rife that the untitled project will go on floors in the latter half of 2021.
After ending 2019 on a high with the back-to-back superhits of ‘F2: Fun & Frustration’ and ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’, Varun Tej is gearing up for his upcoming project with debutante Kiran Korrapati. Touted to be a high-voltage sports drama, the 30-year-old actor will be essaying the role of a professional boxer and to fit the bill, he already underwent intense training program for two months in Los Angeles and worked on his body transformation. Olympic Gold Medalist Tony Jeffries has trained Varun in the boxing part and ‘Rocky’ actor Carl Weathers acted as a consultant.

Jointly bankrolled by Allu Venkatesh and Sidhu Mudda, the untitled film will feature talented actor Naveen Chandra locking horns with the Mega hero. Major chunk of the film’s budget will be dedicated to action sequences which will be supervised by Hollywood choreographers. Both the protagonist and antagonist are expected to appear in bulked-up bodies with six-pack abs.
