According to a report by 123Telugu, director Chandoo Mondeti revealed that the film has a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes. He expressed satisfaction with the final cut, acknowledging the emotional depth of the film while thanking editor
Navin Nooli for his exceptional work. Although Mondeti initially envisioned a longer version, he felt that the trimmed length still effectively conveyed the story's essence.
He further said, "Even after removing those 20 minutes, still the film looked good and conveyed everything I wanted to. Navin Nooli did an exemplary job. I am very much satisfied with the editing part."
The film features
Sai Pallavi as the female lead. With a budget of Rs 75 crores, 'Thandel' is one of Naga Chaitanya's most expensive films to date. The production includes a lavish dance sequence dedicated to Lord Shiva, featuring 900 specially trained dancers. The music for 'Thandel' is composed by
Devi Sri Prasad.
Filming took place in various locations, including Vizag and Srikakulam, with significant portions shot in Udupi. The movie was initially slated for a Sankranthi release in January 2025 but was postponed to ensure high production quality and resolve shooting permissions.
