Exhibitors in Telangana are holding a demonstration against the team of Liger and Vijay Deverakonda
Vijay Deverakonda has put the box office flop of Liger behind him and is now looking ahead to his new film, Kushi with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vennela Kishore and Jayaram which will hit theatres on September 1.
Recently, a song from the film was released, but people specially the distributors of the film Liger decided to move in on the same day as the release of the song to protest against the delay in payment of the refund, which the film’s distributors had to bear.

Puri Jagannadh, the director, had promised the film’s exhibitors that he would assuage their losses within six months. The group chose to target both Liger and Vijay Deverakonda who played the lead in the film along with Ananya Panday. Liger released on August 25 last year and perhaps the film’s distributors want to now make sure that their protests are noticed.
Kushi has already seen a delay because Samantha Ruth Prabhu had ongoing health complications because of an auto-immune disorder. Liger’s team and director has not yet responded to the protesting distributors and one can only hope that this will not impact Kushi, which is a different project altogether.
