After foraying into cinema as a child artist, Malayalam actress Kaveri popularly known by her screen name Kalyani made inroads into Telugu cinema with Rajasekhar’s 2002 film Seshu. In a short span of time, she played the leading lady in a string of big-ticket films like Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru, Vasantam, Kabaddi Kabaddi, Dongodu and Pedababu. After getting hitched to director Surya Kiran in the late 2000s, she shifted her focus towards supporting roles.
