Dr LV Suryam, an academician with a PhD degree, left his job to pursue his dream of making movies. Stepping into the producer’s chair for the first time, he’s bringing Darshini to the big screen, set to hit theaters on May 17th. “With a passion for cinema, I started my journey in the film industry. This is my first film and I’m super excited about it,” he says. Talking about his journey, Dr Suryam added, “Before this, I made short films with my friends and they received good responses. This encouraged us to make a full-length film. During the pandemic, the idea to make a movie came up. Initially, we approached several producers to back our project, but nothing worked out. I decided to produce the film myself. The director is a good friend and felt that I understood the film’s vision better.”

The film revolves around three friends who get an opportunity to get hold of a device that shows the future and its consequences. “The film is a labour of love. From the VFX technicians to the cast, everyone gave their best. We have also been fortunate to have iconic singers, such as Sunitha, Chitra, and Chinamayi on board. Their contributions amped up the songs. I believe that our film will deeply resonate with audiences,” says the producer, signing off.
