‘Ghazi’ director Sankalp Reddy penning a script for Vidyut Jamwal?

According to a report, Sankalp is presently busy penning down a script for Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal. The latter’s father has reportedly approached the young director to prepare an action-packed script based on real-life incidents.

Hyderabad-born Sankalp Reddy stormed onto the scene with India’s first war-at-sea film Ghazi. Starring Rana Daggubati as Lieutenant Commander Arjun Varma, the Telugu-Hindi bilingual bagged the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 65th National Film Awards. Despite being a debutante, Sankalp Reddy managed to extract the best from an ensemble star cast and keep the proceedings interesting with an engaging screenplay and riveting war sequences between two submarines.

After garnering moderate success with the 2018 space-thriller Antariksham 9000 KMPH, the 35-year-old director has recently wrapped up his episode in the Telugu version of Hindi anthology film Lust Stories. According to a report in a leading daily, Sankalp is presently busy penning down a script for Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal. The latter’s father has reportedly approached the young director to prepare an action-packed script based on real-life incidents.
Vidyut’s father is an officer in the Indian Army and he was impressed by Sankalp’s debut film Ghazi. As per the source, “Since Vidyut is an action hero; the whole objective is to showcase his acting prowess while flaunting his physique.”
At present, the 39-year-old actor is busy with Faruk Kabir’s Khuda Haafiz. He is also essaying a pivotal role in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2.
