A movie star weds a business heiress in a perfect fairytale setting ��������� Ram Charan and Upasna Kamineni���������s nuptials was surely one that will be remembered for a long time. On Thursday morning, The Temple Tree farmhouse of the Kamineni family was abuzz with activity with everyone from family members to high profile guests from across the country, arriving in style.The venue, a replica of the Domakonda fort, was grand, to say the least.
Around 8 am, Charan walked in to the accompaniment of the traditional nadaswaram along with dad Chiranjeevi, mom Surekha, sisters Sushmita and Srija, and the stylish groomsmen ��������� Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Rana Daggubati, Allu Bobby and Sai Dharam Tej. Upasna made a stunning entry ��������� dressed by Tarun Tahiliani, she looked every bit a princess in her crystal-encrusted gold silk sari.
The three-hour affair, conducted in traditional Telugu style, complete with rituals of the couple smearing the jeelakarra bellam and madhuparkam, concluded in the tying of the mangalsutra and saptapadi ��������� the seven steps around the sacred fire.
Throughout the ceremony, the couple seemed totally lost in each other. Oblivious to the chaos around them, Charan and Upasna were spotted chatting and smiling at each other and waving out happily when they spotted their friends in the crowd. Ever the loving beau, Charan was seen lending a helping hand to his bride whenever her jewellery or veil moved from its place. All nervousness that���������s typical of the big day was missing.
In circles While the couple was all set to start their pheras, they had to stop after taking just one round, as many dignitaries walked in to wish them at that very moment. The wedding came to a halt as Charan and Upasna greeted all the VVIPs and then resumed the ritual. The wedding was performed by a number of priests and presiding over it all, was the popular Dollar Sheshadari, one of the chief priests from the Balaji Temple at Tirupati.
Humble Megastar Chiranjeevi���������s famed humility and hospitality was on full display. Despite all the hullabaloo that accompanies a star wedding, Chiru was seen patiently welcoming every guest. Fans wanted to pose for pictures and the Megastar did all of it with a patient smile on his face.
Bachchanalia If the Tamil film industry was represented by Rajini, then Amitabh Bachchan made up for the B-town star power. He walked in to wish the couple minus any shor sharaaba. Not many knew of his presence, till an over-excited valet driver screamed on the microphone ��������� ���������get Mr Amitabh Bachchan���������s car to the front gate���������. This created a huge flutter among guests, but before they could even get a chance to have a look at Big B, he was whisked off.
Sridevi sizzles Sridevi hasn���������t made a big screen appearance in years, yet she can give the Tamannaahs and Samanthas a run for their money. The diva, who looked smouldering in her sari, attended the shaadi along with hubby Boney Kapoor and had people eating out of her hands. Some fans even followed her and tried making conversation throughout her brief stay at the wedding venue.
The Rajini mania Despite the star-spangled nuptials, the venue witnessed a mini stampede as superstar Rajinikanth made an entry. Everyone at the venue ��������� stars, politicians and guests stood up to get a dekko of Rajini. Cameras flashed and heads bobbed as Rajini walked up to the mandap to wish the couple. The star then made a quick exit to avoid any commotion.
Gabbar Singh mode While the entire ���������mega family��������� was dressed to kill in designer gear, the Power Star decided to ditch the fuss. The groom���������s uncle and superstar Pawan Kalyan was so busy with the wedding preparations that he didn���������t have time to change into something fancy. Instead, he was spotted walking around, cool as a cucumber, in denims and a button-down shirt and chappals, with that signature PK attitude.
