Raashi Khanna talks about her 'double role' in Hyper
Whether it was Prabhavathi (Oohalu Gusagusalade), Annapurna (Joru), Savitri (Jill), Sridevi (Supreme), Raashi Khanna has always played characters which have very vintage Telugu names. Point that out to her and she chuckles: “Well, that’s the case in Hyper as well — I play a simple girl called Bhanumathi. These traditional names make the characters sound so much more intriguing, right?”
Elaborating on her role in Hyper, she says: “Bhanumathi is a simple, conservative girl from a miserly family.

But then, she undergoes a complete transition in the course of the film. She changes from the coy girl who wears only full-sleeved clothes to an outgoing fashionista, who is unafraid to speak her mind — it’s almost like a double role.”
Ram is a friend now
We worked together before, but since we are both reserved by nature, we didn’t really get to know each other the last time around. After this film though, I can safely say that Ram is my friend.
This role helped me open up
I don’t think I can ever woo a guy the way Bhanumathi woos Srinu in Hyper. So it was tough to carry off the role. As an actor, this role has helped me open up a lot more.
